Running to the Summit of the Atlas
Trail Running Toubkal is our specific proposal for those who want to run to the summit and return on the same day, organising everything clearly and unambiguously. The core of this experience is to run to the top and return to Imlil in a single day. The idea is simple and straightforward: start in Imlil, ascend, reach the summit and return to Imlil within the maximum time limit of 10 hours, accounting for both sub-groups (amateurs and experts).
The level-based structure allows each runner to slot into the pace that best matches their current form, guided by a tourism professional assigned to their group. In this way, the experts maintain a steadier, faster flow, while the amateurs manage the day at an appropriate pace, with pauses and follow-up tailored to their level.
In practice, this division prevents paces from interfering with one another and helps each person experience the race day in line with their preparation. The premise is to achieve the objective in the same day, always respecting the 10-hour cap set for the entire activity.
Level-based proposal with a same-day objective
The plan focuses on a three-day schedule and a sporting execution with a maximum of 10 hours to complete the activity on race day. In addition, when the group includes different levels, we provide two tourism guides to split participants: one accompanies the amateurs and another the experts. This way, each sub-group concentrates on its own pace and goal, maintaining organisational safety and meeting the established maximum time.

Suitable for all levels
The lead guide for the activity is Youssef Ait Meskouk.

Youssef Ait Meskouk
Youssef was an incredible guide! His expertise in high-altitude climbing made us feel safe and confident on the most challenging routes. In addition to his deep knowledge of the mountains and technical skiing skills, he is also a skilled trail running specialist.
When the group is heterogeneous in performance, we add a second tourism guide to split participants by level and work with two clearly defined paces:
- Amateurs sub-group: accompanied by a tourism guide at a more progressive pace.
- Experts sub-group: accompanied by a tourism guide at a more demanding pace.
Youssef Ait Meskouk assumes the overall coordination of the day and leads one of the sub-groups; the second guide is responsible for the other. In this way, each person keeps their focus without external pressure and the team moves forward with clear organisation, always aligned with the objective of the day. The level split and each guide’s role are communicated in advance and validated with all participants to ensure shared expectations.
